
It is not the fact that we face adversity in our lives, it is how we cope with it that matters.
At some stage all of us will encounter difficulties, some of which we may need assistance to overcome.
There is no shame in asking for that assistance, and the earlier we do it the easier it can be to navigate our way to a better place.
So, for Green Ribbon Month, why not try to focus on where your supports are, who might be able to assist you and what you might like help with?
You could also have the conversation with your loved ones - be open to hearing what, when and how they might like assistance.
Sometimes we assume that it does not need to be talked about, but the best time to talk about these kinds of things is generally before there is a problem.
Then, at least, when something does become challenging, we know that we are acting in accordance with the persons expressed wishes.
