The Christmas dinner was on the 22nd of December in Cherryfield. It started at 12.30pm in the canteen and went on to 3pm. There was a choice of carrot and coriander soup and potato and leek soup. it was sublime, fresh and heart-warming. Then for main course there was turkey and ham, stuffing, croquettes, Brussels sprouts, carrots, mash and gravy. It was fantastic, well presented and delectable. for dessert we had a choice of trifle and Christmas pudding with custard. It was delicious. Tea and coffee was on offer for whoever had room for it. Mince pies and Christmas crackers left on everyone's tables. The whole dinner was well served up by the staff that were all dressed up for the festive.
Some of our ex staff members were invited. they couldn't all make it but Kelly Birmingham made it and she brought a lovely candle for the centre. It was lovely to see her.
There was a raffle and everyone won a price. there was Christmas movie in one of the room in the building.
A great day we all had. And if you were at the dinner you were a winner..
