On Thursday the 2nd February 2017, a group of participants and 3 staff members met in town and got on a Paddywagon bus tour to Glendalough, the Wicklow mountains and Kilkenny.
Our first stop was at Glendalough. The weather was not great, but we spent a good hour in Glendalough with some of us walking and the rest of us remained in the hotel. We had tea, scones and a snack in the hotel.
After that we all got back on the bus and drove through the Wicklow mountains. We were shown where parts of the film Braveheart was filmed.
We also drove through a village called Hollywood. They even had a sign like the Hollywood sign in America. Unfortunately due to the bad weather and the windows on the bus we could not really see the sign clearly.
Our next stop was Kilkenny city. We had nearly a good two hours to explore the city.
The weather in Kilkenny city was very bad with heavy rain. There were lots of famous tourist landmark attractions. We all split up into groups and some of us went for something to eat.
The city and shops in Kilkenny city are lovely and the staff are so friendly.
We then made our journey back home to Dublin and we arrived into Dublin city center just after 6pm.
It was an enjoyable day all around despite the weather.
