Some people find it hard to speak about mental health because there is a lot of stigma still in society.
If
you suffer from a mental illness you have good days and bad days.
Medication can help but it is not the only answer to your recovery. You
need to speak to people who understand when you are down never bottle
things up or be afraid to talk to someone like a family member or GP or a
close friend that you can trust.
It is very important to speak about mental health and talk to people that have experienced a mental health difficulty.
If
you are mentally unwell it would be very beneficial for you to go to a
day service or to the day Hospital.
It could really help you to gain more confidence to meet people who have
similar difficulties to yourself and to mix and make friends. Going on
social outings with a day service will help you a great deal.
Please
remember you are not a ALONE so please do not bottle things up in your
head always talk to someone before it gets worse to the stage were you
get so unwell and paranoid that you will find it very hard to go out of
the house and into society.
We know it is easier said than done but if you know how to do exercises
like your breathing, and try not to worry to much you might find that it
helps you. The worst thing you could do would be to stay inside all the
time and never go out and meet people.
There is always hope and help out there.
If you want to learn more or support mental health you are most than welcome on 20th October.
