Walkinstown relaxation class

A few participants and a staff member were looking for things to do in the community during the C.A.T.C.H program.  They came across a relaxation class in Walkinstown community Centre.   The course ran for 4 weeks every Thursday.

Some participants including myself and a staff member went down to give the class a try and see whether we liked it.

It started at around 11am and finished shortly after 12.30pm.

The name of the relaxation instuctor was Joan.

Joan would talk a lot about different forms of relaxation.    She does different types of meditations to help you relax  and talks about positivity and affirmations.  She also does a bit of Tai-chi movements.

I found the class very helpful and relaxing.    The other people we met when doing the relaxation course were very friendly and lovely people.

Mary from Walkisnstown Resource Centre said that they hoped to run the class  again soon.  She also wanted to know if anybody had any ideas of any classes that they would like to do.

I would recommend that everyone no matter what age you are or whether you suffer from stress or not.  To give relaxation classes a try and you might even find that you enjoy it and that you can do relaxation techniques wherever you are.
